According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s approximately one woman every minute! On today’s show we’ll take a closer look at women and heart disease. In this episode we talk with a local woman living with heart failure. Gladys Lundy is a long-time HeartChampion who founded The Minority Women Health Project in the Triangle area after having a stroke at age 45 and discovering she had heart disease.
