Tar Heel Talk: October 18, 2015
Topic: Senior CommUnity Care of NC
According to the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research, the state’s population aged 65 and older is expected to double from 1.1 million in 2010 to 2.2 million in 2030. Experts predict Medicaid costs will soar, but they also feel one organization can help control those costs and keep seniors living at home. Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly or PACE offers an alternative approach, a community-based option. Senior Community Care of North Carolina is a PACE program and serves adults age 55 and above in Wake and Durham counties.
