Aya Cash began her acting career at the San Francisco School of the Arts, a public performing arts high school where she won the English-Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Competition. She continued her studies at the University of Minnesota/Guthrie B.F.A. Actor Training Program.
After college, Cash moved to New York, where she played “Kalina” in Bruce Norris’ “The Pain and the Itch” at the Playwrights Horizons theater directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro. Additional theater credits include productions at the Atlantic Theater Company, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Ars Nova.
Her film credits include “Deception,” “Off Jackson Avenue” and “Winter of Frozen Dreams,” as well as the upcoming “The Oranges” and “The Bits in Between.” Her television credits include guest appearances on three series in the “Law & Order” franchise, “Mercy,” “Brotherhood” and in several television pilots.
Cash lives in New York.
