2 Toll Booth Operators Reportedly Robbed at Gunpoint in New Jersey

By Fox News Network

Two toll booth collectors were reportedly robbed at gunpoint at the Union Toll Plaza in Hillside, New Jersey State Police say.

The masked robber threatened the collector with a gun in lane four while another robber demanded money from a collector in lane one, MyFoxNY.com reports.

Both robbers and two others -- all wearing masks -- were riding in a silver Chrysler 300 at about 5 a.m. Friday when the crime occurred.

Authorities tracked what they believed to be the vehicle seen in surveillance video to a house at an undisclosed location. Once there, they found the front plate had been removed and the car had not been moved for some time. State Police say the robbers likely used a similar vehicle for the robbery.

The toll collectors were not injured and the amount of cash taken was not disclosed.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact New Jersey State Police at (973) 338-1370.
