Time Warner Cable is changing the frequency on which it sends the signal for FOX 50, a move expected to improve reception for viewers who have seen interference on our channel in recent months.
Most viewers won't see any difference. Those who watch FOX 50 via antenna, satellite or another cable system are not affected. Time Warner Cable customers who have a cable box are not affected.
Only those with televisions connected directly to their cable without a box need to take action.
The change is set to take effect early Tuesday morning. If their Time Warner cable is run direct to their television, and FOX 50 are not coming in, they need to take these steps to reinstate the signal:
- Turn on the television.
- Press the menu button on the remote.
- Look for a "channel search" or "auto program" function in the settings, which will allow you rescan your channels.
- Run the rescan until it's done.
- That's it!
They should find that FOX 50 comes in much more clearly after this move.
