Steak and Plantain Sandwich – Sándwich de Plátano y Carne


Ingredients – Ingredientes

Skirt Steak – Carne Arrachera

Lettuce – Lechuga

Tomato – Tomate

Queso Fresco – Fresh Cheese

Garlic – Ajo

Mayonnaise – Mayonesa

Onion – Cebolla

Cooking oil - Aceite de cocina

Plantain – Plátano Macho/Verde

Salt – Sal

Pepper - Pimienta



Preparation – Preparación


Cut the tips of the plantain, peeling it and cutting it length wise. You will have to press it and use it as the "bread" of the sandwich.

In hot oil, cook the plantain until it becomes of a golden color an then flip it.

Seasoning the steak with salt and pepper. Place the steak carefully on a pan with oil and add garlic and onion.

Serve as a sandwich with fresh cheese, tomato, mayonnaise and lettuce.



Corte las puntas del plátano, pélelo y córtelo a lo largo. Usted lo presionará y úselo como el pan del Sándwich.

En aceite caliente, cocine el plátano hasta que esté de un color dorado y luego voltéelo.

Condimente la carne con sal y pimiento.Coloque la carne cuidadosamente en un sartén con aceite y adicione ajo y cebolla.

Sirva como un Sándwich con queso fresco, tomate, mayonesa y lechuga.
