Q. Is FOX 50 available in High Definition?
A: Yes. You can receive FOX 50 in HD over the air on 50.1, on Time Warner digital cable 250, DirecTV and Dish Network.

Q. Where can I find FOX 50 on my local cable system?
A: To find FOX 50 on your cable system, please check out this handy chart in PDF format (Adobe Reader required).

Q. Is FOX 50 on satellite?
A: YES! FOX 50 is available on both DirecTV and Dish Network in standard and high definition. Please contact either satellite company and ask about getting “local stations”.

Q: What is RTV and how do I get it?
A: RTV stands for “Retro Television”. A local family-friendly network available for free, over-the-air on channel 50.2 and on Time Warner digital cable 251. For the complete RTV program guide, click on the “ON TV” section of our homepage.

Q: How do I get an event publicized?
A: If it’s a non-profit event or organization, simply click on "Community" on our home page, then select Calendar and enter your information. Please submit your non-profit events at least 4 weeks in advance. FOX 50 reserves the right to publish, edit or not publish any event.

Q. What are TV ratings?
A: The small box in the corner of your screen that appears during television shows. Every show has ratings based on age & content. Additionally, if your TV is equipped with the V-chip, the ratings allow for shows to be blocked that you deem inappropriate for your children. For more info about TV ratings and the V-chip, visit www.tvguidelines.org.

Q: How do I report a news tip?
A: FOX 50’s 7:00am and 10:00pm newscasts are produced by our sister station, WRAL-TV 5. To submit a news tip, go to WRALTV5 News Tip . Or call (919) 821-8590.

Q: Can I get a copy of a show I missed?
A: While we can’t make copies of any of the shows, many FOX 50 shows are available on FOX on Demand on FOX50.com.

Q: How can I buy FOX merchandise?

Q: What can I do to fix my "sound" problem on certain FOX shows? I'm only hearing background music... / or / I'm only hearing the show in Spanish... / or / I'm hearing a narration description over my show...
A: The audio input on your TV may not be set correctly. Check to see if your audio channel is on SAP instead of STEREO or MAIN. The network provides a service to the entire country with a Second Audio Program (SAP) which offers shows in SPANISH as well as VIDEO DESCRIPTIONS FOR THE BLIND. Go to your TV remote and push the AUDIO INPUT button or the MENU button and then the AUDIO INPUT button. Change your Audio Channel to STEREO or MAIN.
