“WOMEN FIGHT BACK PART 1”
Ricki sits down with two courageous women who fought to take back their power after enduring brutal sexual assaults.  Ricki’s first guest, Julie, never imagined she’d become a statistic, but one autumn day she was car-jacked from a church parking lot (with her two infants in the car) and repeatedly raped in the presence of her children.  Her ordeal ultimately led her to introduce a bill in Congress.  Ricki’s second guest, Wanda, was a marketing executive on a business trip when she was abducted, tied between four trees and repeatedly raped.  During her ordeal, she managed to use psychology on her assailant that she and authorities believe saved her life.  Once her assailant was caught, her courage during her attacker’s trial defied conventional wisdom.  Also joining the conversation is Kirk Griffith, a 38-year veteran of the Dallas Special Victims Unit.

“WOMEN FIGHT BACK PART 2”
Ricki continues talking with courageous women who fought to take back their power after enduring brutal sexual assaults.  Joanie’s terrifying story became the inspiration for actress Kadee Strickland (who reunites with Joanie on the show) in her portrayal of rape survivor Dr. Charlotte King on ABC’s “Private Practice.”  And, Keri’s dream vacation in Italy turned into a nightmare when her dinner date with a seemingly charming acquaintance took a horrific turn that left her beaten, battered and sexually assaulted.  She survived the attack and subsequently spent thousands of dollars to return for her abductor’s trial to be sure he was properly convicted.  Also joining the conversation are Kirk Griffith, a 38-year veteran of the Dallas Special Victims Unit and Katherine Hull, a spokeswoman for RAINN: the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.

“ARE GAY PARENTS DIFFERENT?"
Ricki sits down with gay individuals who are navigating the world of parenting.  Rosie O’Donnell joins the conversation to discuss her role as a gay parent advocate and introduces the latest member of her family.  Ricki also discusses personal triumphs, tribulations and hilarious misadventures with Dan Bucatinsky, the actor on ABC’s hit show “Scandal” and author of “Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight?” Comedian Anthony Spock stops by to share how his mother came out when he was 22 years-old and, inadvertently, provided unseen advantages for his comedy career.  And, Ricki chats with Elise and Andrea who, after years of trying to get pregnant, signed up to be foster parents and soon found themselves with three healthy, happy children.  In addition, Noah St. John, a star student and frequent spoken-word performer who was recently seen on NPR’s “Snap Judgment,” recounts the break-up of his two mothers and performs his celebrated spoken-word piece.

“MY CHILD SAVED A LIFE"
Ricki introduces viewers to children who saved the lives of their loved ones.   Ricki and her guests recount three terrifying real-life scenarios that had happy endings thanks to these pint-sized heroes.  When a father accidentally severed an artery and was mere minutes away from bleeding to death, it was his three year-old son that came to the rescue.  Also, a baby who unknowingly fell into a swimming pool and lied lifeless in the water was saved by her brother who had learned CPR from watching a movie.  And, the unbelievable story of a family who was trapped in an SUV after a road collapse that left them in a river, and the 11-year-old daughter who took a leap of faith to get help.    Licensed psychotherapist and parent expert Brooke Miller joins the conversation to provide helpful tips to help children learn what to do in an emergency.
