Ricki conducts an exclusive interview with the Texas high school student who was paddled by her male vice principal – with her mom’s blessing – which set off a firestorm of controversy that landed the student in juvenile court. Also, Ricki explores the new trend in parental discipline – public shaming with the help of social media. In addition, Dr. Michele Borba, author of more than 20 books on children, behavior and parenting, advises a couple whose five year-old antics are taking them to the brink of a nervous breakdown and the creator of “The Happiest Toddler on the Block” DVD, Dr. Harvey Karp, weighs in on dealing with “the terrible twos.” And, a panel of moms square off to debate discipline techniques.

Today is about asking for forgiveness and learning to forgive. Ricki’s first guest left home one year ago without telling anyone or maintaining any contact. With the help of psychologist Dr. Ava Cadell, she now seeks forgiveness from her grief-stricken mother and her devastated brother. In addition, we’ll meet a couple trying to forgive each other for past discretions and three sisters who are struggling to forgive their stepfather – the only Dad they ever knew -- for murdering their mother. Along the way, we’ll find out if it is ever too late to apologize, can you make someone apologize and what makes for a good apology?
