Meet our Audition Judges:
President, Deep South Entertainment
Dave Rose is the president of Deep South Entertainment and has been guiding and developing the careers of multi-platinum artists for more than 20 years. Rose received his B.A. in Economics from North Carolina State University and got his start by playing bass in touring and recording acts.
Founded in 1995, Deep South is an artist and business management firm, record label, and talent agency. Rose also owns and operates a music venue in Raleigh, N.C.
An industry veteran, Dave Rose has worked with Grammy-winning and Billboard-charting greats such as Bruce Hornsby, Little Feat, Stryper, Vienna Teng, Marcy Playground, Allison Moorer, Butch Walker, Sister Hazel, Tres Chicas, SR-71, Parmalee, Lee Roy Parnell, Darden Smith, and The Warren Brothers. Deep South Entertainment is headquartered in Raleigh, N.C. and continues to be an industry leader in artist management and career development.

JASON MICHAEL CARROLL
Jason Michael Carroll is an American country music artist. After years of performing, his breakout came when he won "FOX 50's Gimme The Mike!" in 2004. Carroll was signed to the Arista Nashville label in 2006, releasing his debut album Waitin' in the Country that year. This album produced three consecutive Top 40 country hits for him on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Alyssa Lies", "Livin' Our Love Song" and "I Can Sleep When I'm Dead". Carroll's second album, Growing Up Is Getting Old, produced his fourth and fifth Top 40 hits. He continues to tour the country and is scheduled to perform over 75 shows in 2013. Additionally, he will be releasing a new single this spring titled "Close Enough".

Terri Dollar has served as Program Director for Artsplosure, Arts Alive Raleigh, and First Night® Raleigh for the past 15 years. These prestigious, award-winning festivals bring over 150,000 people to downtown Raleigh, North Carolina annually. These festivals are known for the quality of talent they showcase and for recognizing and presenting fantastic emerging artists to their enthusiastic audiences.
She is the founder/owner of Kids Unlimited Talent Agency. Kids Unlimited represents over 300 of the Southeast's most talented young actors. She also served as Image Consultant for numerous television shows including "FOX 50's Gimme the Mike." She has served on the board of directors for The NC Film Commission, The North Carolina Theatre, Performance Edge, Arts NC State, and was appointed by the City of Raleigh to the Raleigh Telecommunications Commission.
Terri has been involved in the entertainment world almost her entire life. With undergraduate degrees in Theatre and English, she also has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration, She has spent her career developing and supporting the arts and working in the entertainment industry as an actor, director and producer

When you hear the phrase “What it do boo” it can only mean that the one and only Shena J is in the building. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY but reps for NC all day, everyday! One only needs to spend a few minutes in the presence of this boisterous radio personality to grasp that Shena J is a special blend of talent.
Shena J has honed her craft at some of the top broadcasting companies in the nation including industry powerhouse Hot97 in NY with co-stars such as Angie Martinez, and Funk Master Flex . There she was an instrumental force in one of the biggest concert series in hip hop history the famous, “Summer Jam.” Her career has soared allowing her to work with some of entertainment’s most elite including Jay-Z, DMX, R, Kelly, Eve, Destiny’s Child, Busta Rhymes, and more.
As a vibrant contributor to Radio One, Inc. Shena J has been a leading champion in mega events such as Women’s Empowerment where she’s worked with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, Idris Elba & Steve Harvey. She has produced her own successful production such as the annual Spring Bling Car & Bike Show. Shena’s public dedication has also led her to continuously lend a voice to many charities within her community. She has faithfully been a part of Shifin’ Gear’s “Back to School Back Pack Give Away” and “Biker’s Choice Awards” as well as founding “Prom Promises” which gives young less fortunate girls the opportunity to attend their high school prom by sparing many high associated cost to those in need. McDonald’s has even recognized Shena J as their corporate ambassador for “Women On The Go” which celebrates hard workingwomen through out the triangle area. Shena J has also recently started working on her first novel.
Shena J is one of the only radio personalities in her market to have interviewed both President Barack Obama, and his lovely wife Michelle. The evidence of her fanfare can be found by her loyal listeners as she holds down the mid-day slot for the #1 hip hop and R&B station in RDU K97.5 Shena J’s passion for her work and compassion for her community has allowed her to be a role model and prime example of excellence within the entertainment industry.

Dick Hodgin has been in the music business for 30 years as a producer and manager. He relocated to the triangle in 1982 from South Carolina, and opened M80 Management Company in 1985. Dick has a reputation for sharp, HONEST, no punches pulled advice and counsel which has earned him “The Dream Assassin” nickname.
Over the years, he's had to wear about as many hats as there are to wear in the music biz. Manager, producer, engineer, booking agent, publicist, promoter, tour manager, sound man, travel agent, baby sitter, transmission repairman, radio promoter, etc.

A father of two, he has served for 8 years on the North Carolina Childcare Commision and is an Adjunct Lecturer at North Carolina State University.
