- LaRonda Scott, State Executive Director, Mothers Against Drunk Driving
- Nicole Hutchinson, Sister killed by a drunk driver
Studies show that every day in America, 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes. Today’s show focuses on efforts to reduce that number and end drunk driving in North Carolina and nationwide. The guests discuss the numerous programs and services offered through MADD in NC. Plus, Hutchinson shares her family's story. Her sister Darcie was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 21. She shares the heart break her family felt as well as the anger and frustration as they went through the court system seeking justice for Darcie. Hutchinson says her family would not have made it through that time without a MADD advocate guiding and supporting them.
