Knightdale High School and Guests Present Annual Holiday Show

Back by popular demand, Barbara Robinson’s The Best Christmas Pageant Ever returns to the Knightdale Repertory Theatre stage this holiday season for its sixth year! Performances run in the Knightdale High School Auditorium on Thursday and Friday, November 29th and 30th at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, December 1st at 2 p.m. and admission is $8.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Groups rates are available for ten or more.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the hilarious but heartfelt story of the Herdmans, six siblings who, through their outrageous and uncontrollable behavior, have been deemed “the worst kids in the whole history of the world!” In an unlikely turn of events, the Herdmans find themselves in Sunday school, wreaking havoc on the church’s traditional Christmas pageant. It is only when the children are granted a second chance that they are guided to discovering the true meaning of Christmas and take its lessons to heart.

As a part of their training for theatre and to add to their real world experience, students at Knightdale High School are taking on the major responsibilities for direction, choreography, publicity and all technical aspects. Senior Theatre Arts IV student Brittany Nicole King directs. Knightdale Repertory Theatre is also pleased to feature guest performers from our feeder schools: Lockhart, Forestville Road, Harris Creek and Knightdale Elementary Schools. Willie O. Jordan serves as the artistic consultant.
