Midtown Raleigh Alliance is partnering with Woof Gang Bakery to present its first family event, Midtown Barks & Rec! On September 23 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Midtown residents are invited to enjoy family fun with “Fido” benefitting the SPCA of Wake County. The parking lots and grassy area adjacent to Sparians at North Hills East will be transformed into a dog park for the afternoon.

“Fido” fun includes obedience, training and dancing with your dog demonstrations. Owners can register their dog onsite to participate in the cute dog, best dog trick, best dog costume, best dog kiss and dog/owner look-a-like contests for prizes from Woof Gang Bakery. The “Dog House” vendor area will offer dog product samples and information on dog-related services.

Family fun includes a kid’s zone, music from DJ K-9, N.C. craft beers from Sparians and World of Beer plus food from Bruegger’s, Sparians and Zoe’s Kitchen.
