For intermediate and advanced students (must have experience with basic encaustic painting). In this class, we will use traditional painting techniques and apply them to the practice of Encaustic painting. Whether you’re interested in painting representationally, abstractly, or adding depth and color to collaging, this class will be a challenging and engaging way of adding to your wax skills and pushing your techniques. We will address safety issues, proper fusing techniques and explore different kinds of brushes and tools to use. Recommended for students who have experience with encaustic, oil, acrylic and/or watercolor painting. A $35 materials fee is due to instructor at each workshop.
